Security

Safety
We don’t take lightly the responsibility of handling people’s money. We have taken a proactive approach, adopting a variety of best practices to ensure the security of our processes and the safety of our customers’ money. As a matter of policy, Clearshift segregates all customer funds into specially designated bank accounts. In other words, your money never enters our own pocket. The purpose is to insulate your money from any risks associated with our business. To insulate our segregated customer funds from external risks, Clearshift maintains an absolute policy against releasing proceeds of an exchange transaction to a customer until the customer has sufficient coverage for the exchange transaction in their Clearshift account. While this may lengthen the transaction cycle and inconvenience some customers, the overall safety and integrity considerations of the settlement system prevent us from taking delivery risks with ANY customer.
Clearshift is also insured. We carry the following standard financial institution insurance coverages: Financial Crime, Errors & Omissions.  Copies of current insurance certificates are available upon request.

In addition, Clearshift is independently audited for compliance with international data protection and privacy regulations.

Regulation
The Business of money transmission is highly regulated throughout the world. Regulation is aimed at both protecting the public and preventing money laundering and the finance of terrorism. Due to licensing requirements and regulatory restrictions, Clearshift may be restricted from offering services to customers in various countries or states and various sectors. Clearshift encourages its customers to take comfort in the independent oversight of regulatory authorities that Clearshift is subject to.  In Israel, Clearshift Israel Ltd. is licensed by the Israeli Ministry of Finance – Capital Markets, Insurance and Savings Authority as a Provider of Regulated Financial Services, license #56955.
