Executive Board

Ari Dobner, Director & Chief Executive Officer

J.D.University of Pennsylvania Law School, Cum Laude, 1996;
Editor University of Pennsylvania Law Review;
B.S. Computer Science, Touro College.

Ari has been developing cutting-edge risk management and trading systems for more than a decade and is responsible for Clearshift’s business development and operations. Prior to moving to Israel, he was an associate in the Business Department of Dechert in Philadelphia and also clerked at the Supreme Court of Israel. Ari is also a contributing editor for the Keter Institute of Jewish Law and Economics and is a frequent lecturer on business ethics topics.


Sherman Frager, Chairman of the Board

Sherman has been trading options on the Philadelphia Stock Exchange for the past 24 years. He is currently a Managing Partner of First Derivative Traders LP, a derivatives market-making and proprietary-trading firm. Prior to receiving his M.B.A., Sherman worked for Grumman Aerospace as an aeronautical engineer.


Marten Hirsch, Director & Compliance Officer

J.D., Harvard Law School, Cum Laude, 1991;
B.A., American History, Columbia College, Columbia University, Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, 1988.

Marten is currently a Managing Partner of First Derivative Traders LP. He is responsible for establishing Clearshift’s US operation and for regulatory compliance matters.


Advisory Board

Dr. Asher Meir

Ph.D. Economics, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT),
B.A. Applied Mathematics, Harvard University

Dr. Asher Meir is a Senior Lecturer in Economics and Business Ethics at the Jerusalem College of Technology and a Research Fellow at the Taub Center for Social Policy in Jerusalem. Previously, he served as a staff member at the Council of Economic Advisers in the Reagan administration.


Bob Rosenschein

B.S., Computer Science, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) 1976.

Bob is the founder and former CEO and chairman of, a NASDAQ company acquired by Summit Partner's AFCV Holdings for $127 MM in May 2011. Bob was awarded the Prime Minister of Israel's Award for Software Achievement in 1997 and named a finalist in the Metropolitan New York region for the 2009 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Award.

Iddan brings with him 25 years of rich experience in a range of regulatory, tax, business and finance areas to assist Clearshift with its highly-regulated global operational structure.


Menachem Yaron, Chief Technical Officer

M.B.A., Information Systems, Bar-Ilan University, 2002;
B.A., Computer Science, Bar-Ilan University, 1998.

Menachem is responsible for engineering Clearshift’s cross-currency payments platform and back office systems. Previously, Menachem worked seven years as a software engineer at Verint, a public company and leader in enterprise and security intelligence.
